2023 Chardonnay Blanc de Blanc

Each vintage the Chardonnay for our Blanc de Blanc is the first fruit to come off our home vineyard. Picked early to retain freshness and fruit flavours. Technical – Picked and crushed in the second half of January 2022, tiraged and bottled over winter. The wine then spent ~ 24 months on lees, and was riddled and hand disgorged before release. 2022 was a terrific vintage for our Swan Valley wines and this is no exception. Nose/Palate – A super fresh sparkling wine with a lovely fine bead. Bright pale straw in colour, with classic Blanc de Blanc style aromas. Complex nuttiness with lifted green apple and baked pie crust characters. Striking palate – very crisp mouthfeel, with plenty of primary fruit and nougat notes. Lovely pear-drop character throughout the finish, terrific length. Alc/Vol – 12.0%            Case Size – 6 Bottle
